动脉粥样硬化及其所引起的恶性心血管疾病,如心肌梗死、中风,是当前致死和致伤残的主要原因.miRNAs是生物进化过程中的一组高度保守的非编码单链RNA小分子,是动脉粥样硬化病理生理细胞效应的主要调节者.主要综述了miRNAs在动脉粥样硬化发展进程中,对内皮细胞、血管平滑肌细胞和巨噬细胞功能的调节作用.

Atherosclerosis and its accompanying clinical disease,such as stroke,myocardial infarction,are the leading cause of mortality and morbidity in the world.Over the past decade,miRNAs have emerged as evolutionarily conservednon-coding single-strand RNA moleculesand serve as important regulators of pathophysiological cellular effects involved in atherosclerosis.This review aims to provide a comprehensive perspective of miRNAs,mostly focusing on mechanism and relevance in regulating endothelial cell,vascular smooth muscle cell and macrophage functions in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis.
